EMASS Softball Players of the Day for April 28th



Players of the Day for Tuesday, April 28, 2009.


Sarah Erlandson (pictured above) supplied the arm and the bat (18 K's, 2-4, 3-run HR) to lead Georgetown to a (10-4) victory over Cape Ann League foe Lynnfield.


Shawsheen's Kelli Jo Deardorff spun a 5-hit 15 strikeout gem in the circle as the Rams crushed Greater Lawrence (9-2) in Commonwealth League action.


Betsy Maysonet (4-5, 3 runs, 3 RBI's) powered Madison Park past Fenway (21-6) in a Boston City League mismatch.


Durfee's Amanda Cordeiro (shutout, 5 K's) was dominating as she lead the Hilltoppers to a (5-0) win over Brockton in a Big 3 tussle.


Kelly Duval (3-5, 2 triples, 4 RBI's) supplied the offense as Hanover dusted Scituate (12-2) in a Patriot League mismatch.


Salem's Ashley White (3-4, 3 runs, 2 RBI's) provided the punch as the Witches crunched Lynn English (12-5) in Northeastern Conference action.


Kelly Naeglin spun a 4-hit, 9 K gem as Cohasset toppled Hull (7-1) in a South Shore League scrap.


Newton North's Rae Copan (shutout, 3-hitter, 8 K's) propelled the Tigers to a (2-0) shutout of Belmont in a non-league tilt.


Katherine Clark pitched a one-hit shutout while striking out seven to lead Coyle-Cassidy to a (12-0) dismantling of future EAC foe Martha's Vineyard.


Carver's Amanda Garnett (4 hits, triple, 4 RBI's) was the offensive hero as the Crusaders outslugged South Shore League foe Mashpee (11-7).
