Players of the Day for Tuesday, April 28, 2009.


Drew Larson (pictured above) had 2 hits and five ribbies to lead Bridgewater-Raynham to a (10-4) drubbing of Old Colony League for Taunton.


Malden Catholic's Nate Witowski spun a 4-hit shutout as the Lancers disposed of St. John's Prep (4-0) in a Catholic Conference tussle.


Ivan Rosado had 6 RBI's to lead Brighton to a (12-2) shellacking of Charlestown in Boston City League action.


Brockton's Craig Stewart belted a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to propel the Boxers to a (14-11) win over Big 3 rival Durfee.


Steve Surette (Winning pitcher, CG, 5-hitter, 5-6, 3 runs, 6 RBI's) was omnipresent in Whittier's (18-1) demolition of Chelsea in a Commonwealth League mismatch.


North Reading's Kevin Singer spun a 2-hit shutout as the Fighting Hornets slipped by Rockport (6-0) in a Cape Ann League contest.


Josh Neely struck out 12 as he pitched South Boston to a (10-0) shutout of Snowden in Boston City League action.


North Shore's David St. Pierre (CG, 2-hitter, 11 K's, 4 RBI's) powered the Bulldogs to an (18-1) destruction of Commonwealth League opponent Minuteman.


Evan Butters hurled a 4-hit shutout to lead Wilminton to a (2-0) win over Amesbury in a Cape Ann League pitcher's duel.


Bishop Feehan's Andrew McCarty (4 hits, 2 walks, 5 runs scored) lead the Shamrocks to a (21-9) pounding of Attleboro in a non-league tilt.
