EMASS Baseball Player of the Day for April 10th



Players of the Day for Friday, April 10, 2009.


Tom Morris (pictured above, sitting) hurled a complete game 3-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead Newburyport to a (9-1) drubbing of Triton.


Tewksbury's Rob McVey (CG, 3-hitter, 10 K's plus 2 hits, double, run scored) provided all the firepower as the Redmen beat Salem (8-1).


Kevin Singer (2-3, 2 runs, 5 RBI's) powered North Reading to a (14-6) pasting of North Andover.


Bourne's Charlie Small (3 RBI's), including the game winning RBI as he paced the Canalmen to their first victory of the season over Martha's Vineyard (4-3).


Wilson Mercado (3-5, 3 runs, HR, 5 RBI's) provided the bulk of the offense as Lynn Classical thwacked Revere (14-6) in NEC action.


Old Colony's Jon Dean (5-5, 3 runs, RBI and got the "W") paced the Cougars to a (12-3) pummeling of Avon.


Jimmy Cadogan (1B, 2B, 3B, 3 runs) was the offensive sparkplug in leading Ipswich to a (9-5) win over Lynnfield.


Haverhill's Ronnie Rosario (2-4, 2 runs) lead the Hillies to a (6-5) non-league win over Whittier.


Jake Pugh (2 hits, 2B, 2 runs, 2 RBI's) powered Tyngsboro past Greater Lowell (9-4).

Beverly's Mark Theriault (2 hits, HR, 3 RBI's) provided a majority of the Panthers offense as they defeated Wakefield (11-5).
