EMASS Baseball Player of the Day for April 9th

Memphis bound Dan Langfield (pictured above) had a complete game, 2-hit, 17 strikeout effort in leading Somerset to a (6-0) win over Dartmouth.
Lynn English's Jonathan Surette had 11 strikeouts as the Bulldogs pounded Saugus (11-4).
Eddie Campbell fired a two-hit shutout and knocked in two runs to lead Bridgewater-Raynham to a (12-1) thumping of Brockton.
Bishop Fenwick's Pat Barrett (3-3, 3 RBI's) powered the Crusaders past St. Mary's (8-7).
Justin MacCutcheon (3-5, grand slam) provided the offensive support needed to propel Woburn over Lexington (11-6) in Middlesex League action.
North Attleboro's Mike Ferguson (2-hitter, 11K's) lead the Red Rocketeers to an (8-1) victory over Oliver Ames in a Hockomock League battle.
Phil Scivetta (3-hit shutout, 2 doubles, 3 RBI's) was the entire story as Duxbury pounded Silver Lake (9-0).
Tewskbury's Ronnie Wallace (2-hit shutout) was magnificent on the hill as the Redmen defeated Wilmington (5-0).
Nick Hyman (3 hits, 2 RBI's) powered Millis to a Tri-Valley League victory over Ashland (10-7).
North Andover's Alex Jilson (3 hits, 3 RBI's) lead the way as the Scarlet Knights upset Andover (10-7).
Tom Fitzpatrick (CG, 10 K's, 3-run HR) had all the right stuff as Archbishop Williams crunched Cardinal Spellman (8-4).
Abington's Steve Perakslis (3-5, HR, 6 RBI's) provided the muscle as the Green Wave pasted Cohasset (16-2).
Medfield's Korey Kuzmich (4-4, 6 RBI's) lead the way as the Warriors belted Bellingham (14-3).
Middleboro's Tony Maranda (3-5, grand slam, 5 RBI's) powered the Sachems to a (15-12) Patriot League win.
