EMASS Softball Players of the Day for May 19th

Players of the Day for Tuesday, May 19, 2009.


Rylee Burt (pictured above) hurled a 10 strikeout 2-hit shutout in the circle to lead Whitman-Hanson to a (7-0) decision over Rockland in a Patriot League tilt.


Dennis-Yarmouth's Kelsey Russell fired a 7 K no-hitter to lead the Dolphins to a (20-0) pasting of Atlantic Coast League foe Falmouth.


Tesla Castillo (5-6, 2 doubles, HR, 8 SB's) ran wild as Madison Park defeated Hyde Park (22-6) in Boston City League action.


Medford's Kim Perault (double, triple, 4 RBI's) supplied the punch as the Mustangs got the best of Malden in a Greater Boston League battle.


Rebecca Armstrong (3-3, 3 RBI's) was the entire Methuen offense as the defeated Billerica (3-2) in a Merrimack Valley Conference clash.


Beverly's Kristen Lojko (CG, 5-hitter, 11 K's) pitched a gem as the Panthers took care of fellow Northeastern Conference rival Swampscott (6-1).


Nicole Eisenmann (CG, 3-hitter, 2 singles, HR, 4 RBI's) was Miss Everything as East Bridgewater thrashed Carver (7-1) in a South Shore League tussle.


Ashland freshman Lauren O'Brien (3-hitter, 11 K's) stakes her claim to be the heir apparent to Nicole D'Argento as the Clockers pound Millis (14-1) in Tri-Valley League action.


Jessica Collins (CG, shutout, 13 K's) was intense in the circle as Greater New Bedford took care of non-league for, Bristol-Plymouth (2-0).


Silver Lake's Katie Stanley (2HR, Grand slam, 5 RBI's) powered the Lakers to a (15-3) decision over Marshfield in a non-league mismatch.
