EMASS Baseball Players of the Day for May 20th

Players of the Day for Wednesday, May 20, 2009.

John Garabedian (pictured above) hit two homeruns and drove in four runs to lead Mansfield to a (17-1) Hockomock League drubbing of North Attleboro.

Falmouth's Bobby Whelan hurled a 5 K no-hitter to propel the Clippers to a (2-0 ) Atlantic Coast League win over Dennis-Yarmouth.

Al Saia spun a 4-hit, 10 strikeout shutout as Everett destroyed Somerville by two touchdowns (14-0) in a Greater Boston League blowout.

Bishop Feehan's Sam Dodge was the catalyst in the Shamrocks (8-4) Eastern Athletic Conference decision over Somerset.

Eric Bransfield belted 2 HR's and drove in five as Lynn English devoured Northeastern Conference foe Lynn Classical (16-0).

Rockland's Joe Carlier (4-4, 2-run HR) was the offensive star in the Bulldogs (8-2) decision over Patriot League rival Randolph.

Nick Silleramo (CG, 10 K's, 3-4, 2 doubles, RBI) was Mr. Everything in Old Rochester's (8-3) South Coast Conference victory over Seekonk.

BC High's Billy Kiley (2-3, 2 runs, 2 RBI's) paced the Eagles offense in a (9-1) humbling of Brockton in a non-league tilt.

Tyler Waterman (3-3, 6 RBI's) helped the offensive onslaught as Bridgewater-Raynham doubled up Whitman-Hanson (10-5) in a non-league slugfest.

Duxbury's Sean Cross had 4 hits and 6 RBI's in the Green Dragons thumping of Marshfield (17-3) in a non-league shellacking.
