EMASS Softball Players of the Day for May 13th

Players of the Day for Wednesday, May 13, 2009.


Rachel Gaughan (pictured above) had a no-hitter with 3 strikeouts to lead Scituate to a (8-1) Patriot League win over Hingham.


Ashland's Nicole D'Argento (no-hitter, shutout, 13 K's, 3-5, double, 3 RBI's) continued her domination of the Tri-Valley League in the Clockers (15-0) shutout of Hopkinton.


Freshman Abby Lucas hurled a no-hit shutout in the circle as Braintree shuts down Bay State League rival Brookline (10-0).


Lowell Catholic's Nicole Boisvert (W, 13 K's, double, triple, HR, 6 RBI's) was Miss Everything in the Crusaders (13-8) Catholic Central win over Trinity Catholic.


Adria Kotsiopoulos (7 IP, 9 K's, 2-5, double, run, 5 RBI's) propelled West Bridgewater to a (10-0) whitewashing of Mayflower League opponent Bristol-Plymouth.


Wellesley's Rebecca DiBiase threw a 11 strikeout shutout to pace the Raiders to a (8-0) Bay State League win over Natick.


Madison Martines (4-5, grand slam, 2 HR, 9 RBI's) had a career year in one day to lead Marian to a (15-0) Catholic Central victory over St. Clement.


Andover's Alex Stock (5-5, grand slam, 5 RBI's) supplied the pop to lead the Golden Warriors to (15-3) win over Notre Dame (Tyngsboro) in Merrimack Valley League action.


Kathleen Lynch had 5 hits and 5 RBI's in North Quincy's (15-4) Patriot League win over Rockland.


Westwood's Samantha Sestito (5-5, 5 RBI's) powered the Wolverines to a (17-9) Tri-Valley League victory over Dover-Sherborn.
