EMASS Baseball Players of the Day for May 13th
Players of the Day for Wednesday, May 13, 2009.
Kevin Plant (pictured above) and Sam Nagle went a combined (10-10, 16 RBI's) in Pembroke's (24-9) Patriot League win over Middleboro.
Newton North's Eric Howard fired a 2-hit shutout to lead the Tigers to a (10-0) whitewashing of Bay State foe Weymouth.
Jim Perron (W, 12 K's, 2-4, 3 RBI's) was the straw that stirred the drink in Archbishop Williams (8-2) Catholic Central victory over Austin Prep.
Concord-Carlisle's Dylan Katz-Wicks and Brodie Stone (6 hits, 6 RBI's) were the offensive weapons in the Patriots (12-10) victory in a Dual County League slugfest.
Burlington's Sam Cummings pitched a complete game, 18 strikeout shutout as Burlington creamed Middlesex League rival Woburn (14-0).
Lynn English's Brain Maynard (2 HR, 6 RBI"s) powered the Bulldogs to a shockingly easy (16-2) Northeastern Conference win over Revere.
Matt Quinn (6 IP, 6 K's, 3-5, 4 RBI's) was Mr. Everything in Seekonk's (14-0) CSouth Coastonference defeat of Bourne.
Carver's Billy Sullivan pitched a one-hit, 7 strikeout shutout to propel the Crusaders to a (7-0) South Shore League win over Hull.
Sahil Bloom (CG, shutout, 3-hitter, 6 K's) was again magnificent as he lead Weston to a (8-0) Dual County League win over Wayland.
Walpole's Tom Ryan hurled a 7-strikeout complete game shutout in the Rebels (3-0) Bay State League victory over Norwood.
