EMASS Softball Players of the Day for May 9th
Players of the Day for Saturday, May 9, 2009.
Kat Bolduc (pictured above) pitched a complete game shutout to pace Coyle-Cassidy to a (4-0) Eastern Athletic Conference win over Bishop Stang.
Georgetown's Sarah Erlandson (WP, 3-3, 3 runs, 2 RBI's) supplied the pop and the windmill in leading the Royals to a (10-4) Cape Ann League victory over North Andover.
Jenna Rocha (2-3, 2 runs, 2 RBI's) propelled Dighton-Rehoboth to a (17-2) South Coast Conference thumping of Wareham.
Concord-Carlisle's Gayle Miner and Shannon Daulton combined to throw a no-hitter in the circle as the Patriots shutout CMass Gardner (3-0).
Taylor Cournoyer (3-3, 2 runs) powered Coyle-Cassidy to their second win of the day as they defeated Durfee (7-4).
Everett's Rachel Pierce singled in the winning run as the Crimson Tide defeated Dracut in a non-league nail biter.
Jess Moitoza smashed a 3-run homerun to lead Taunton to a (8-4) non-league victory over Franklin.
Woburn's Toni DeCampo belted a HR and knocked in 4 runs as the Tanners smooshed Boston Latin (18-3).
Lauren Lesiczka (2-3, one run, 3 RBI's) lead the way as Central Catholic outslugged Wakefield (13-9) in a non-league battle royale.
