EMASS Softball Players of the Day for April 23rd
Players of the Day for Thursday, April 23, 2009.
Candace Hankard (4-4, 3 HR's, 8 RBI's) powered Wakefield past Bishop Fenwick in a non league mismatch.
Duxbury's Casey Ducinski (pictured above) hurled a 2-hitter to lead the Green Dragons past Abington (8-4).
McCauley Brooks (CG, 5-hitter, 10 K's) owned the circle in leading Acton-Boxboro to an (11-1) Dual County League thumping of Wayland.
Danvers' Hannah Demirodogen (4-4, 2 runs, 2 RBI's) propelled the Falcons past Saugus (11-3) in Northeastern Conference play.
Danielle Mitchell (3-3, triple, RBI, 3 runs) was the offensive star in leading Whitman-Hanson to a (10-1) pasting of WMass opponent St. Joseph Central.
Winthrop's Angela Porter twirled a complete game, five strikeout shutout to lead the Vikings past North Quincy (3-0).
Kat Bolduc was again masterful in the circle (5-hitter, 8 K's) as Coyle-Cassidy squished Eastern Athletic Conference foe Somerset (7-1).
Triton sophomore Brooke Jamison (3-3, 2 singles, triple, 3 RBI's) was the offensive star in leading the Vikings over Lynnfield (7-0) in CAL action.
Sarah Pezzulo (CG, 5-hitter, 5 K's) controlled the game in the circle as Beverly crushed Medford (10-2) in a non-league tilt.
North Attleboro's Meg Saaraiho hurled a nine strikeot complete game to catapult the Red Rocketeers to a (5-2) Hockomock League win over Oliver Ames.
