Zack Smith was immense on the mound (CG, 2-hitter, 16 K's, shutout) and at the plate (2-4, HR, 3 RBI's) to lead Silver Lake to a (6-0) win over Stoughton.
Xaverian's Matt Malcuit (pictured above) came within one out of a no-hitter in pacing the Hawks past Malden Catholic (3-0) in a Catholic Conference pitcher's duel.
TomFitzgerald pitched a complete game, 12 strikeout 2-hitter as Archbishop Williams destroyed Marian in a Catholic Central mismatch.
Cambridge's Shawn Patton hit a walk-off 3 run homerun in the bottom of the 7th to propel the Falcons to a (9-8) come from behind Greater Boston League win over Everett.
Ty Brenton (CG, shutout, 10 K's) had no room for error as Greater New Bedford Voc. snuck by Dighton-Rehoboth (1-0) in a South Coast Conference pitcher's duel.
Melrose's Tom Murphy pitched a complete game one hit 9K shutout as the Red Raiders nipped Stoneham in Middlesex League action.
Sophomore Lorenzo Papa (2 HR, 2 doubles, 5 RBI's) powered Arlington Catholic past Bishop Fenwick (10-1) in Catholic Central action.
Dartmouth's Frank Vilachi (CG, 10 K's, 2-4, triple, HR, 3 runs, 3 RBI's) did everything but rake the field as the Indians pounded Somerset (11-3).
Tommy Simas hurled a complete game, ten strikeout, two hit shutout to pace St. Clement past Trinity Catholic (3-0).
Bishop Feehan's Sam Dodge (6 IP, 11 K's) hurled the Shamrocks past Foxboro (4-3) in a non-league tilt.
