EMASS Baseball Players of the Day for June 1st

Players of the Day for Monday, June 1, 2009.

Chris Carmain (pictured above) lit up the scoreboard (3HR's, 4 runs, 7 RBI's) as #7 St John's Prep pounded #2 Beverly (20-3) in a D1 North rout.

Gloucester's Dylan Maki (10IP, 15 K's) did yeoman work as the #4 Fishermen eliminated #5 Lawrence (3-2) in a D1 North thriller.

John Gorman tossed a 4-hit, 11 strikeout masterpiece as #4 Catholic Memorial defeated #12 Walpole (7-2) in a D1 South battle.

Bridgewater-Raynham's Mike Connolly allowed only one run and struck out 14 as the #1 Trojans got by #8 Brookline (4-1) in D1 South.

Andrew Sinkewicz (CG, 14 K's, 2-4, HR) was Mr. Everything as #10 Georgetown upset #2 Weston (8-2) in a D3 North surprise.

Bishop Feehan's Sam Dodge (W, 14 K's, 3-3, triple, HR, 4 RBI's) couldn't do much more as the #8 Shamrocks shutout #17 Hanover (7-0) in a D2 South battle.

Mike Gillis (CG, 4-hitter, 4 K's) propelled #16 Swampscott to a (7-3) decision over #8 St. Mary's in a D3 North clash.

Norton's Tom Munger (3-3, 2 HR's, double) was part of the offensive explosion as the #2 Lancers crushed #7 West Bridgewater (11-4) in a D3 South mismatch.

Evan Anderson (CG, 10 K's) hurled a masterpiece as #11 Middleboro eliminated #3 Bishop Stang (6-0) in a D2 South rumble.

North Reading's Eric Diffily tossed a 4-hit, 3 K gem as the #6 Fighting Hornets slipped by #3 North Shore (3-1) in D3 North action.

Steve Perakslis fired a complete game, eight strikeout, 2-hit shutout to lead #1 Abington to a (3-0) win over #9 Fairhaven in a D3 South tussle.
